Swingers are flocking from all over the country to throw in their car keys and attend secret partner sharing parties in Inishowen.
The Journal has learnt Inishowen is king of the swingers, with hushed-up events taking place across the peninsula.

After receiving a call from a concerned member of the public we decided to investigate the so-called popular swingers network which
seemingly has attracted bus loads to the area.

We discovered a series of websites promoting the services in locations across Inishowen.

In fact, there are more than 200 people with an interest in Donegal.
Through one site we were able to contact one swinging couple who regularly visit Inishowen.

Asking for their identity not be revealed, they claimed they loved visiting Inishowen because it is such a secluded place they are guaranteed what they describe as their 'little secret' won't be let out of the bag.

They told the Journal: "The fact is we are living in an open society, people are starting to have a more modern approach to these kind of things.

"This helps the swingers club be so successful.

"This is something lots of men and women our age are interested in.
"Although I have to say, at the meetings, in Donegal there really is a mixed bag of people in attendance."

However, not everyone holds such liberal opinions on the issue of wife-swapping.

Mary Doherty, of the Christian Solidarity Party, said she was horrified to discover the seedy events were taking place.

She told the Journal: "Everybody knows this is wrong.

"But you can't be responsible for people and what they do if they want to do wrong things then like them.

"It is not something that I can get into, the things that we can see is a concern to us. There is wrong going on that is nothing we can do about it."

Mary said she will continue her fight against pornography in the hope that, if this is stamped out, rings of swingers clubs will also be addressed.

But the swinging couple said they see nothing wrong with swinging in Inishowen.

The pair added: "We are living in a modern society and we think it is great way to meet other couples who may feel the same way as us and want a bit of spice in their relationship."
