A Donegal man was in Dublin on Monday to collect his cheque after sharing in Saturday night's Lotto jackpot win.
Two winners shared the jackpot of e2,795,635 – taking away a fantastic e1,397,818 each.
First to arrive at Lotto Headquarters was a man from Donegal, who wishes to remain private. He bought his lucky €8 Quick Pick ticket in Tesco, Letterkenny Shopping Centre, Letterkenny.
“I have no words to describe just how much this means to me. It’s just fantastic. I felt really lucky this week and made sure I bought a Lotto ticket. I hoped to win a few Euro but never dreamed I’d win the jackpot,” said the delighted winner.
The second winner of Saturday’s jackpot was a woman from Dublin, who also wishes to remain private. She bought her e4 Quick Pick ticket in Pats Foodmarket, Bettystown, Drogheda, Co Louth.
