A man accused of robbing the post office in Raphoe earlier this month is due back before Letterkenny District Court today.
Colin Taggart (23), of 50 Forest Park, Killygordon was charged with robbing Edward Coyle at the Post Office, The Diamond, Raphoe on July 9. He is accused of taking e8,500 during the raid.

Monday’s sitting of Letterkenny District Court heard that Taggart was residing in Killygordon with his girlfriend.

Bail was granted in the sum of e6,000 with one independent surety of e2,000 to be lodged in court.

Defence solicitor Patsy Gallagher said there was some difficulty in securing bail and asked that the case be adjourned for a short period.
