Tanaiste Mary earns e245,325

The salary of Tanaiste, Mary Coughlan increased yesterday to 245,325 euro. Her 5,984 rise comes as part of the final tranche of a pay rise agreed under the national partnership agreement.
The Tanaiste is the second highest political earner in the county, second only to An Taoiseach, Brian Cowen whose salary is 285,583 euro.

Meanwhile, the county’s five other TDs will all earn a minimum of 100,000 euro - the basic salary for a Dail Deputy since yesterday is now 100,191 euro.
