It is understood a car left the road close to the Inn at the Cross on the Glenshane Road and ended up in a hedge. One man was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area between 2.30pm and 3pm and witnessed the incident. The telephone number to ring is 0845 600 8000, or contact the ‘Crimestoppers’ charity anonymously on freephone 0800 555111.
