Ever popular comedian Gene Fitzpatrick had the big attendance of nominees, their nominators, supporters and guests in raptures with his stand up humour and singing. Musical entertainment was provided by the very talented Paul Breslin. Those present also enjoyed a delicious supper provided by the Age Concern catering staff and volunteers.
The President of Age Concern Derry, Albert Smallwoods presented special awards to Mary Sharkey, George McCready and Bertie Roulstone, who had been highly recommended by the independent panel who had scrutinised the nominations.
