Shantallow Sinn Féin councillor Tony Hassan has called for a bus shelter to be erected on the Skeoge Link Road.
Colr. Hassan said large numbers of school children often have to stand in the rain while waiting for a bus close to the Fernabbey junction.

“I have been contacted my a number of concerned residents from the wider Fernabbey community who have asked me to contact Derry City Council with the view of having a bus shelter erected at the entrance of the estate. These local residents are concerned that people of the area, especially young children, have to brave the elements out in an open space while waiting for their bus to arrive.

“I have spoken to Derry City Council on this matter and they have agreed to erect a shelter as soon as is possible,” he said.
