Foyle Street gig for Razorlight PAIR

Derry's large contingent of Razorlight fans are in for a treat when guitarist Björn Ågren and bassist Carl Dalemo, play the Grittyshaker night at Sandino's on June 6th.
The pair, according to BBC NI presenter and Grittyshaker resident, Riggsy, "are great behind the decks, they take the DJing thing pretty seriously. Having said that, I'm a little bit worried about them coming up to Derry, last time they DJ'd with me in Belfast, Bjorn ended up behind the bar at the end of the night pouring everyone drinks and Carl looked on in dismay. They're total party boys, so having them DJ at Sandinos is a recipe for total carnage."
Which undoubtedly will be joy to the ears of Razorlight fans who followed the band to both Belfast's Botanic Gardens and the Oxegen Festival last summer.
According to Gritty Shaker resident DJ, BBC NI's Riggsy: "The guys have never been to Derry, but have heard all about Northern Ireland's party town and are looking forward to their first visit. Having DJ'd twice in Belfast, at Gritty Shaker's sister club 'Sketchy', we can promise a set of indie dance floor fillers. Carl and Björn, both from Sweden, are also known to drop the odd pop classic.
"To be honest I've had loads of rock bands DJ and most of them are a disaster but these boys are good at it. They were Djing for a long time before Razorlight."
Riggsy hopes the other half of the band, singer Johnny Borrell and drummer Andy Burrows will be seen busting some moves on Foyle Street but as yet: "I can't say for sure, the band are supporting Bon Jovi in Dublin the next night, they have only taken a few gigs this summer so I'm hoping they will come but it is not written in stone and I don't want to spread rumours."
