Free Derry Wall to be painted over - but just for one day

Derry's most iconic landmark, Free Derry Corner, is to be painted over for the first time ever tomorrow (Saturday).
In previous years, minor changes have been made to the wall which is an internationally recognised symbol of resistance. Every year, thousands of tourists flock to the Bogside to be photographed next to the famous gable wall.
In 1992, a rainbow was painted on the wall to mark the 20th anniversary of Bloody Sunday while, in 2007, the wall was painted pink to coincide with Foyle Gay Pride Week.
Jim Collins, from Bluebell Arts Project, explained the background to the latest venture: "The purpose of the project is to provide the community with creative tools that help address issues of physical renewal.
We want to find out what the community's needs, hopes and dreams are for the future. Everyone is welcome to take part, whether they are Bogside residents or area users. So come along on Saturday and have your say."
The wall will be returned to its traditional format on Sunday.
