Priests at Long Tower Parish will bless the restored holy water font at the Hawthorn Tree tomorrow morning.
The font, which was formerly the baptismal font used in the church from 1812-1908, was placed outside by the church’s Administrator Father Willie Doherty as a source for Holy Water.

It fell into disuse some years ago but the Long Tower Restoration Committee has restored the water supply in this, the 99th year of the new church.

The old font will be unveiled and blessed after the 10 o’clock Mass on Saturday morning.
