Lotto winner off on holiday to Portrush!

After striking it rich in last week's EuroMillions draw, Derry's lucky lotto winner Ryan Magee says he's in need of a vacation.
But down-to-earth Waterside man Ryan isn't about to jump on a plane to warmer climes. Instead he's set to head off for a week's holiday to Portrush.
The twenty-seven year-old found out last Saturday that he had won just under £6.5 million pounds in the record breaking £96 million rollover draw.
The IT worker told the "Journal" last night that he will soon be heading off to the popular Northern coastal town with wife Margaret and their ten-year-old son Lee: "With Margaret expecting in August, it's difficult to go away so we plan to head up to Portrush to take in what's happened. We have always liked heading up there and, hopefully, it will help straighten our heads out."
And Ryan says he cannot wait to pick up his new toy, a £157,000 Ferrari F430 Spider, which he bought the day after he found out he'd hit the jackpot.
"I pick the car up on Friday and I cannot wait. It is also Margaret's first midwife appointment so we are going to that first. I need to have some training on how to work the gears but, after that, I can drive it home. The most powerful car I have had before this was an Audi A4 - so it will take a bit of getting used to."
And the Waterside man says it was a relief not to have to worry too much about insuring his new vehicle. "It is a special type of insurance you get for it that covers both your house and car - It cost £3,800. I did try to get a quote for the Ferrari from a number of other insurers but they would touch it!"
Ryan says the past week has been a blur and that he has been pleasantly surprised by the reaction from people in the street: "I have not done very much in the past week but it has gone very quickly. The hardest part has been trying to get a good night's sleep. We have really enjoyed the experience so far. I think that's because we haven't had a bad experience yet. Everyone we have met has been great. When Margaret went back to work at Gransha Hospital, all the patients and their relatives congratulated her. I have also had people congratulating me in the street."
Shopping list
And, after buying a Ferrari, what's next on the Derry man's shopping list: "Possibly a house in the country. But it's the wrong time of year to be looking at houses so we might wait a few months."
