A 36 years-old man arrested in Donegal Town in connection with the murder of pregnant Derry woman Jean Quigley, has been taken to hospital in Sligo.
The man, believed to be Stephen Cahoon, was taken from Ballyshannon Garda station to Sligo General Hospital after complaining of feeling unwell. He is under heavy guard.

Gardai can hold the man for up to 24 hours before he must be brought to court or released. However his term of detention goes into suspension for the period he is in hospital.

Police in Derry confirmed a man had been arrested and was being questioned about the murder of Jean Quigley. They also confirmed a member of the PSNI was in Donegal to liaise with the Garda about the case. It's believed extradition proceedings are pending.

Jean Quigley, who was two months pregnant with her fifth child, was battered to death in her Cornshell Fields home in Derry on July 26.
