For Derry florist Sharon Peaker, this week was all about flower power.
Sharon, who's based at Ness Garden Centre on the outskirts of the city, has in stock a Royal Green Heliconia, which is one of the rarest and largest flowers in the world.
Measuring one metre by one metre, the heliconia grows on a 12 metre palm tree in Ecuador.

Sharon took delivery of the flower this week.

"It's been a real talking point," she said. "We've even put up a sign for the kids saying 'don't feed the flower' and 'beware monster flower.' Tropical flowers are becoming more and more popular this year, particularly with men. But we've never had anything like this."

Sharon says she is open to offers from anyone who wants to buy the flower.
