A woman who lost three years' worth of family pictures after robbers snatched a laptop during a robbery at her home in Sherriff's Mountain, has made an appeal for their safe return.
The burglary occurred two weeks ago, when thieves who broke into the house and made off with the laptop and several other items after they were disturbed by the householder.

“The laptop wasn’t worth much,” the victim explained, “but the pictures on there are invaluable. I’m a teacher and there’s also years of teaching material on there.

“I’m sure those who took the laptop have tried to sell it on, so I’m appealing to anyone who may been offered it, or who have bought a laptop second hand to check it. Even if the photos have been deleted they could still be there on the hard drive.

“I’m offering a reward for any information which leads to the retrieval of the pictures.”
