After 20 years of bad blood, 1980s pop legends Spandau Ballet have put their differences behind them for a reunion tour.
Vividly recalling an afternoon in a pub in Derry, guitarist Gary Kemp says he hopes to see lots of local people at their gig in Belfast.
It's been a tough few years for the band since the split in 1990.

In fact, a battle over songwriting royaltie
s ended up in the High Court in 1999. Singer Tony Hadley did not speak to brothers Gary and Martin Kemp for a number of years - but they have now set aside their differences.

"I think we all remembered how good we were and how much fun we had," Gary told the 'Journal' this week.

"I hadn't seen Tony in 20 years, but when we met up it was like the old times again. We are all really comfortable with each other again. We haven't laughed as much as we've done in the last few months.
"The thing about Spandau Ballet is that, no matter what other projects we all did, we were always known as Gary from Spandau Ballet or Tony from Spandau Ballet."

The band will play at the Odyssey Arena on October 14.
"You can expect all the old stuff," says Gary. "I hate it when you go to a concert and an artist tells you they want to play new stuff. In my mind that's the time to go and get a drink.

"I'm looking forward to playing 'Through the Barricades' in Belfast. When we sang it there in the 80s, we got a great reaction.

"Belfast is the second date on our tour and we're delighted about that. And we're hoping to see Derry people there on the night.

"I remember driving through Derry and stopping at a pub there once. It was good fun."
