Tai Chi and yoga for over 60s

Age Concern Derry is inviting people to join their free classes in yoga, on Thursday afternoons from 2:30pm until 3:10pm, and in Tai Chi, also on Thursday afternoons from 2:00pm until 2:30pm All activities are free of charge and take place in Malvern House. The tutors for these courses are Kathy Mc Namara and Kat Mullan.
An Age Concern Derry spokesperson said, “These exercises can be as gentle or as energetic as you want them to be as they are tailored to meet individual need. Simply by taking part and practising the movements in a caring stimulating environment, older people will feel the benefits.”

Yoga and Tai Chi are non-competitive exercises and are being offered to any older person over 60 years living in the Derry City Council area. Places are now available.
