Cocktails of love at Playhouse
Three unique cocktails have been invented at The Playhouse to mark the launch of its new play on the mercurial Frederick Hervey, the 18th century bishop who came to the city in 1768 and later became 4th Earl of Bristol.
“Hervey always felt unrequited in love,” said author Ken McCormack, whose play ‘On the Subject of Love’ will premiere at The Playhouse on February 19 as part of the opening of UK City of Culture year.
‘We’re making cocktails to celebrate Youth, Beauty and Allure – the aspects of love in the play,’ Playhouse Director Pauline Ross said.
“Expect wonderful colours and mixes in the special drinks we’ve created to mark this outstanding production.”
‘On the Subject of Love’ will preview at The Playhouse on Tuesday February 19 and run until Saturday February 23 at 8pm. Tickets are £14/ £10 and are available from The Playhouse Box Office on (028)71268027
