The Amazing Spiderman!

Ireland’s leading Comic Festival, 2D, returns from May 31 to June 2 this year with a fantastic line-up of guests and activities for all ages and all for free. Among the events are workshops, talks, competitions and panel discussions, with some of the main themes being the ‘Olympic Truce’ and the ‘Digital Evolution’ in comics.

The festival culminates with the 2D Comics Fair on Saturday, June 2, running from 10am-5pm in the Verbal Arts Centre, Derry. The Comics Fair will have some of the world’s best comic artists and writers present who have worked on everything from Batman, Superman, Avengers, X-Men, Star Wars and the Walking Dead to the Beano and Dandy - all doing sketches of popular comic characters and signing books. There will also be comic books and merchandise on sale, as well as drawing competitions, face painting and you can even be drawn as a Monster or Zombie. All completely Free of Charge!

2D is supported by DCAL, Arts & Business, Derry City Council, Art Council NI, Brunswick Moviebowl and Digital Derry. Check www.2dfestival.com for details, or contact david@2dfestival.com or on: 02871 266946.
