Creative Writing course launched at Northside
The North West Regional College have launched a new 15 week creative writing course at its Northside campus in Derry, beginning next Thursday at 7pm.
The series of sessions will look at the various genres of Creative Writing: prose, poetry and drama. Each two hour evening session, whilst involving practical writing exercises, will also examine and improve writing techniques such as narrative voice, characterization, plot and sub-plot, the arc of story, the use of metaphor, simile and symbol, the employment of language, rhyme, and the effective use of dialogue.
A small fee of £30 is payable for the 15 week course (concessionary fee available). Interested parties can register at NWRC strand Road or arrive to register on the opening night, for more information contact Liam on 07939398610.
