Derry debut for Fake Blood

The most in demand DJ in the world at the moment, Fake Blood, will play Deep Fried Funk at the Nerve Centre, Magazine Street tomorrow night, May 30.

Over the past 18 months, Fake Blood has become one of the fastest growing names in the dance world. His mysterious identity and knack for making kick ass remixes has kept the world enthralled. The biggest question circulating clubland in 2008 was 'Who is Fake Blood?'.

Among the rumours were that Fake Blood was Soulwax, Fatboy Slim and even Tiesto. Fake Blood is in fact an alias used by DJ Touch, one half of The Black Ghosts and former member of chart-toppers, The Wiseguys. His original productions include two major club hits, "Mars" and "Blood Splashing (Fake Blood Theme)" while his remixes for Dan Le Sac vs Scroobious Pip, Armand Van Helden and Little Boots have destroyed dancefloors worldwide.

The event will also feature a live show from Arveene & Misk. Arveene needs no introduction as he has been hard at it for the last 10 years making himself Ireland's best club DJ, his mission is nearly complete and he can count Erol Alkan, Liam Howlett and Darren Emerson as fans. Misk AKA Phil Byrne is better known as one half of hugely successful breakbeat act called Splitloop who were nominated for best album & best producers at the international breakbeat awards.

Support comes from Deep Fried Funk DJs. Doors open from 10pm - late. Admission: 10 (pay at door). A limited number of tickets are available online at wegottickets.com
