Elizabeth Moore pens book on ‘Ulster and its unsung districts’

The state-of-the-art Roe Valley Arts and Culture Centre Limavady was the venue for the launch of a new book by well- known Limavady lady, Elizabeth Moore.

Launched by Rev. Alan Wilson, the book is entitled ‘History Features of North West Ulster’.

At the launch, Elizabeth was accompanied by Mrs Ann Wilson. Also joining Elizabeth and her family and friends to celebrate the launch were local DUP members, George Robinson MLA, councillors Alan Robinson and James McCorkell, Rev Lynsday Blair, and solicitor David Brewster.

“This book is compiled of features of Ulster History from Londonderry to Limavady and little unsung districts in between,” Elizabeth told the Journal.

“It tells tales of kings and castles, people, places, and events.”

The writer hopes it will be the first of a series of similar books “to follow a history journey throughout all of our beautiful Ulster”.

Priced at £7.99 the book is available at a number of local shops and at Derry Visitors Centre. In Eglinton, it is available at Coppers Spar, Artizan Café. Copies are also available in Ballykelly at Tommy’s newsagents and in Limavady at Craig’s Service Station/Spar, Costcutters/Roe Bank, Limavady Printing Company on Main Street and online from www.booksni
