EP launch for Audio Booth’s Darrell

Audio Booth, founded by local men Oran O’Carroll and ‘Glee’ star Damien McGinty, have signed their first artist - Darrell Coyle - under their new label Walled City Records.

Singer/songwriter Darrell Coyle will launch his long-awaited debut EP in Café Nervosa at the Nerve Centre tomorrow evening, September 8.

Speaking the the ‘Journal’ ahead of the launch, Audio Booth’s Oran O’Carroll is feeling very positive about their first signing.

“We have signed our first artist, Darrell Coyle, and it’s going to be great for young and upcoming bands and artists in Derry and even Ireland as we (Audio Booth) will be selling their music on 27 Digital stores including ITunes, Amazon, Band Camp, Reverb Nation, 7 Digital and Spotify,” he says.

Setting up a record label with Glee and Celtic Thunder star Damien McGinty obviously has it’s advantages too, as Oran explains: “We will also be promoting our artist’s music through Twitter and Facebook, using Damian’s near one-million strong fan base - and this will also be taking the artist’s music to a global platform which no other local or even national label can offer!”

Clearly, the duo behind this ambitious project know exactly what they’re doing.

Tomorrow’s event at Café Nervosa at the Nerve Centre will officially launch Walled City Records too, with guest performances from Justin Black, Susie-Blue, Cheryl McEvoy, Thelma O’Regan, Andrew Devine. Darrell Coyle will be headlining the night with material from new EP.

Admission will be £3.50 at the door and there will be a hot buffet provided. Doors 8pm.
