Global Virus 9th Birthday Bash tonight

An impressive line-up featuring superb live acts, MCs and DJs will mark the 9th birthday of local clubnight, Global Virus, tonight, September 21, at Sandinos Back Bar.

One of the acts confirmed for tonight’s massive 9th Birthday Bash are Spree (live) feat MC Kat and Suzanne Savage. Spree’s music is characterised by influences of Nu Jazz and drum n’ bass with a taste of everything soulful. Spree’s debut release on the stellar Aspect Records and further releases have received widespread praise and featured on TV soundtracks and received extensive DJ support. They’ve performed extensively in Asia, the US and Europe.

Next up are The Dirty Dubsters (Irish Moss Records), who are made up of Dublin based production/DJ duo DJ OBese and Jay SHARP. They have been established under this moniker since mid 2009, however the duo has been collaborating together on various productions and as part of the Break-Down crew since early 2006. Dirty Dubsters has been going from strength to strength ever since.

Support on the night comes from Global Virus Bass Athletes, Hago (Global Virus) and Jonny Boy (Global Virus/Culture Glitch). Doors open 9pm til late. Admission: £3/5.

Global Virus also take this opportunity to thank everyone that’s been involved over the past nine years, no matter how small of a role you may have had. “Thank you for letting us provide the soundtrack to a large chunk of your lives. It means a lot!”
