Little Hooks & Ard Ri at next Acoustic Lounge

The acclaimed Acoustic Lounge at Masons Bar will tonight welcome the return of Little Hooks.

It's been a few years since Little Hooks, Marty McGill and Ruairi O'Doherty, graced the stage and by now their past performances have become the stuff of legend.

This intimate gig will see the duo playing new material to what's sure to be a rapturous audience.

Since then the duo have been hard at work, with Ruairi concentrating on his solo material and Marty working for the acclaimed Glasgowbury festival.

Also on the bill next Wednesday is some distinct 'trad against the machine' - namely the tour de force that is Derry's own high kings, Ard Ri.

These lads have been charming audiences throughout the land for some time now and their command and love of Irish music is second to none.

Johnny, Connor and Wally will be sure to set the scene for this evening of acoustic madness.

Opening this event is the city's own voice of the people and former frontman of The Whole Tribe Sings, Declan McLaughlin. Decky has extensively toured the USA and Ireland, where he is a firm favourite and a constant crowd puller. Nowadays, his solo work is also highly commended.

So folks, put this date in your diary and don't miss next Wednesday, April 29, upstairs at Masons Bar.
