This September marks the return of one of the most important events in the local electronic music scene’s calendar, The Jika Jika! festival.

The one-day festival features some of the finest DJ talent you’re likely to see anywhere in the country.

The Jika Jika! festival is organised by music lovers for music lovers. Throughout the year the organisers consistently book top class DJ acts whilst nurturing home grown talent and unlike other festivals they don’t rely on sponsorship.

During the day activity is focused on the festival’s two outdoor tent areas. In the main structure the promoters delve into the realms of the deeper sounds of house with the likes of Soma’s Silicone Soul, SubClub Glasgow’s Harri and Hot Creation signing Bubba all being represented. The Point Inn will host their own tent for the day, the lineup includes Vertigo (Manchester) as well as Paul P, Bill-X, DJ Darren, Rico(Lush).

Without doubt the biggest attraction to this year’s festival is Swiss Techno DJ and producer, Deetron. It is safe to say that Deet ron is one of the biggest and best names in electronic music at the minute.

The event will also feature a host of Ireland’s best talent with the likes of Danny Simpson, Deep City Groove, Miniminds, Pincer Movement, Brame and Saalim all making appearances. Local club nights La Musique, Bekuz, Audio Asylum, Distinctive and reverb will also make guest appearances.

The event takes place at Tooban, Burnfoot from 3pm sharp, Saturday September 8.
