Funeral for a friend

Seminal Welsh rock band, Funeral For A Friend, headline the first big rock gig of 2013 at The Nerve Centre next Thursday, January 24.

Their debut album, ‘Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation’, spawned a number of hit singles and put Funeral For A Friend on the international stage. The single ‘Streetcar’ strengthened their reputation further, with the band’s second album ‘Hours’ released in June 2005.

A third album, ‘Tales Don’t Tell Themselves,’ was released in 2007 and then in 2009 they self-released ‘Memory and Humanity.’

In 2010 Funeral For A Friend worked closer with their fans through the Pledgemusic scheme, with the EP ‘The Young and The Defenceless’ with their fifth full-length album, ‘Welcome Home Armageddon.’

Funeral For A Friend will release the sixth album of their career this month. Titled ‘Conduit’, it’s the follow up to 2011’s critically acclaimed ‘Welcome Home Armageddon’ and is the first album since the addition of new drummer Pat Lundy.

FFAF chose to work with producer Romesh Dodangoda again after their success partnering on the band’s last couple of records.

Support comes from American rockers, Such Gold and Major League with more acts to be announced. Tickets priced £12.50 + booking fee are on sale now at The Nerve Centre Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. This event is promoted by Practice Makes Perfect
