‘Pure Belter’ by Making Monsters

Making Monsters.

Making Monsters.

Derry rockers Making Monsters will take to the stage in the Bound for Boston this Saturday evening.

The free gig will mark the last local slot for the band for a number of months. Making Monster member, Paul Monk, said: “We will be taking a little time to write new material and book a tour for November.”

The four piece have just completed an 11 date Irish tour in promotion of their debut EP ‘Pure Belter.’ That EP and their strong live shows have saw them support the likes of Kerrang! awards winners In Case Of Fire, Jackalfeud and Stillpoint. In November they will support English rockers Yashin in Dublin.

The band have been celebrating the fact drummer Brian, has won a sponsorship deal with Soultone Hand Made Turkish Drum Cymbals.

The local stick man joins a list of other Soultone artists which included LMFAO’s Jordan Nuanez and Nick Menza of Megadeath.

The Bound For Boston gig will not have Two Glass Eyes as support as previously advertised the band having to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances but promised Monk: “There will be an acoustic set by Luke Mc Laughlin and we will be on from around 12am, music starts at 11pm.”

Entry is free.
