Rising teen star Soak to launch EP at Playhouse
Derry's rising star, Soak... (3107JC12)
Derry teenage singer-songwriter Soak is fast becoming one of the most exciting musical prospects to emerge from Northern Ireland in years, and she will launch her 2nd EP at the latest Playhouse Jammhouse live music night this coming Saturday, August 4.
Soak was the first artist to sit on the jammhouse sofa and has gone from strength to strength since - selling out her first gigs throughout the North West.
She is now releasing her 2nd EP, ‘Sea Creatures’ at the latest of the ever popular music nights, and will be joined by two support acts from the Jammhouse sofa sessions on the night, including John Ross and Seana Heaney. Young Derry singer/songwriter Bridie Monds-Watson released her first EP Trains at the first ever Jammhouse in March this year.
Niall McCaughan, CEO at The Playhouse said: “This music project has really surpassed our greatest expectations! Since it started in March every night has gone from strength to strength, with hundreds of music lovers through The Playhouse doors, as well as the Jammhouse’s involvement with the massively successful Carnival of Colours and Clipper Celebrations!”
‘The Jammhouse is still keen to hear from any bands just starting out who would like some stage space with other musicians, and our regular sofa sessions are open to all artists who get in touch at facebook.com/thejammhouse.”
Tickets for this Saturday’s Jammhouse live music event with Soak, supported by John Ross and Seana Heaney from 8.30pm onwards, are £6. Contact The Playhouse Box Office on: 71. 268027 for more information.
