Status Quo to rock Derry in City of Culture gig

Veteran rockers Status Quo are set to rock Derry during the city’s year as City of Culture, it has just been announced.

The band - who have been banging out the tunes since the late 1960s and whose biggest hits include Rockin all over the World and Whatever you Want - will play Ebrington on June 22 next year.

“The event will also feature some of the city’s best rock bands in association with Rockers Reunion and imarocker.com,” a Culture company spokeswoman says.

Tickets priced £29.50 incl. booking fee go on sale on Monday, December 10 at the Millennium Forum and online at www.millenniumforum.co.uk.

The Quo are no strangers to Derry having played the Templemore Sports Complex in the 1980s.
