This week's Friday's Child is local woman Gemma Thompson.Gemma has been married to her husband Eoghan for two years and they are expecting their first child on March 1. Gemma is a P.E. teacher at St. Cecilia's College in Derry where she studied as a teenager.

Energetic, enthusiastic, caring and hardworking.

Happiest childhood memory?

Visiting Dunfanaghy every summer with my family.

Sales Assistant at Semi-Chem.

Exercising.

What makes you angry?

Children being neglected.

What makes you happy?

Helping others/spending time with my family and friends.

What human quality do you most admire?

Honesty.

What human quality do you least admire?

Bad manners.

What has been the most embarrassing thing to happen to you?

My first day teaching in a new school in Belfast, I arrived early so I made myself toast not knowing the toaster was broken, I set the fire alarm off and the Fire Brigade had to come.

What was the worst thing to happen to you in your life?

Finding out my daddy had cancer, no one likes to hear that word, thank God everything turned out okay.

What is your greatest fear?

Death.

What has been the high point of your life to date?

Marrying my husband Eoghan and getting a permanent job in St. Cecilia’s College.

How would you like to be remembered?

As someone who inspired girls and encouraged them to strive to be the best they can be..

What is your most treasured possession?

My swipe card to get into work..

If you won the Lotto what would you do with it?

Give money to my family, pay of my mortgage and donate money to St Cecilia’s PE Department. (I have to look after my girls)

If you could be granted one wish in life, what would you ask for?

For Spurs to win the Premier League, just to keep my husband happy.

If you could write your own epitaph what would it be?

She finally took a rest.
