It’s hard to believe that 1981 was 33 years ago. Life in Derry looked very differently then but as our slideshow shows people were still out and about and getting involved in the local community.

There was netball in Pilot’s row, they were competing in draughts in Creggan and the young apprentice of the year was delighted with himself.
