JAnuary 1985 - Derry group’s house for Irish language learners in Donegal

The Derry branch of Conradh na Gaeilge, ‘Craobh Cholm Cille,’ has recently purchased a house in the Donegal Gaeltacht in Fan a Bhui in Gortahork in an effort to provide a focus for people learning Irish in the North West.

The house will be made available to learners who want to experience the Irish language in its natural environment. The house will be particularly helpful to children attending the local naiscoileanna and bunscoileanna and parties of children and parents will be welcome to use the house’s facilities.

Croabh Cholm Cille spokesperson, Gearoid O hEara explained the house will be made available to any individuals or groups with an interest in learning or speaking Irish.
