From tomorrow visitors will be able to see the sights of Derry from a whole new perspective with the launch of the city’s first bike tours.

Derry City Tours is offering the new tour in conjunction with Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau and it will leave the Tourist Information Office, 44 Foyle St, every Saturday and Sunday at 10am and 2pm with tours by appointment on weekdays. Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau Manager, Ordhran Dunne, said: “This will be another option for visitors when they arrive in Derry and one that several cities, including Belfast and Dublin, offer to visitors.

“The tours will also compliment the bike hire scheme here at the Tourist Office which has become more and more popular since its launch in 2010.” City Centre Initiative manager, Jim Roddy, added: “This is a great initiative and we wish Martin McCrossan all the best in his new venture which both promotes a greener environment and healthy living.”
