The parish of Malin offer sincere sympathy to the family of Dr. Joe Enright, Carndonagh, on his recent death.
The late Dr. Enright was a native of Tralee, Co. Kerry. He was a proud Kerry man and took great pride in the football tradition from his home county.
He first came to Inishowen in November 1960 when he was appointed as District Medical Officer of Ma
lin. He soon became involved in many associations outside his work. The Malin Development, Credit Union, Benevolent Society, Glengad Fisherman's Association, The Car Club in Malin and one of the founders of the Fianna Fail Cumainn in Culdaff.. He loved and lived for his work and was very close to the people as their adviser and confidante. His life had been of Personal achievement and devotion to the people. .He met and married his wife Ann and were blessed with ten children. His requiem Mass in the Sacret Heart Church, Carndonagh, was celebrated by Fr Neil McLaughlin, assisted by Fr. Jim Mc Gonagle and he was laid to rest in Bocan cemetery, Culdaff. We offer our sincere condolences to his wife Ann and family and to his extended family circle. May he rest in peace.
Dance in aid of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research. Which will be held in the Malin Hotel on Saturday 21 June. Music by sister and brother Sharon and Gary Nixon. Followed by Disco PJ The DJ. A Fun Sports Day will be held on Sunday June 29th at Malin GAA Centre. This is also a fundraising day for Duchenne Ireland Muscular Dystrophy Reserch. Donations for raffle would be appreciated. Telephone Paddy on 074 9370673.
The annual Malin Raft Race will take place on Sunday, August 3 at Lagg. The assembly time for all those strange and wonderful vessels will be 4pm. Entries will be taken on the day and all entrants must wear a life-jacket or buoyancy aid.

A Sponsored Walk in aid of the Patients Comfort Fund for Carndonagh Community Hospital will take place on Sunday 22nd June leavin Mary Deeney's Bar, Ture at 2pm going to Mc Gowan's Bar, Redcastle. For further information contact Helen on 9383821.
Drop-in clinics for those caring for an older person take place on the last Monday of every month in Carndonagh Community Hospital. For more information, please contact 087 2770103.
Carrowmenagh FC have tickets out now for their first ever Grand Draw. Prizes: first prize – Mitsubishi Colt; second prize - 2,000euro cash; third prize – two nights in one of Donegal's top hotels, Harvey's Point, and twelve other fabulous prizes. The Carndonagh Feis will take this year on Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June.
