The Annual Swimming Lessons will be held at Portmoire Pier during July. Lessons commence on Monday 7th July to Friday 11th July for beginners and swim 1 to swim 5. Lessons for Safety, Survival and Rescue begin on Monday 14th July to Saturday 19th July. Registration will be on Monday 7th July at 9.30am. The cost is 20euro per child as required by the Irish Water Safety Board.
The annual Malin Raft Race will take place on Sunday, August 3 at Lagg. The assembly time for all those strange and wonderful vessels will be 4pm. Entries will be taken on the day and all entrants must wear a life-jacket or buoyancy aid. Please come
along and support the Lifeboats. The committee would like to appeal for more help on the day. If you would like to help please contact any committee member.
The annual Blessing of the Graves will take place in St. Patrick's Church, Aughaclay on Sunday 3rd August and St. Mary's Church, Lagg on Sunday 10th August. Ceremonies start at 3pm.

Charity shop opening on Monday July 7th for 6 weeks in the premises next door to the Chinese restaurant Bridge St. Carndonagh. Proceeds in aid of Nigerian Priest Fr. Paul Gokok. Fr. Paul will be visiting Carndonagh this Summer. All money raised will go towards the needs of his parish including transport to enable him to reach parishoners in outlying areas. Anything of good quality that is saleable will be greatly appreciated. There will also be a draw and a name the doll runing in the shop for the funds. Inishowen Development Partnership is currently taking names from women interested in doing the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) training programme. The free course will commence in September 2008 and is suitable for any woman who wants to develop her skills and knowledge of computers. The course will run for 32 weeks and will involve a commitment of one day a week for two hours. Each programme will have a minimum of 13 participants and will be held in a number of locations in the peninsula, subject to demand. This course is completely free and due to the limited number of places available, selection for participation on this course will be by application form only.
