The Beautiful wedding took place on Friday 13th June in St. Mary's Church, Lagg of Madge Mc Gonagle, daughter of Mary Teresa and the late Danny Mc Gonagle, Ballynahona, Glengad, to Dave Mooney son of Eamonn and Anne Mooney, Templeogue, Dublin. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr. Brian Brady, P.P. Malin. The Bride was given away be her uncle Richard Baker and attended by her cousin Catrena Nolan. Providing the church music was Maeve Ward on harp, playing the clarinet was Rebeca Hedderman a past pupil of Madge's in Ballymun Comprehensive School and Claire Doherty, (Owen) a cousin of the bride was soloist. A most enjoyable reception was held in
the Inishowen Gateway Hotel where the couple received many good wishes from family and friends many of whom who had traveled long distances to join them on their special day. The honeymoon was spent in Sorento, Italy.

The Annual Malin Church Dance will be held in the Malin Hotel on Friday, 15h August. Music by The Country Boys.Tickets are 5 Euro and there are Door, Raffle and Spot prizes.  Everyone welcome.

Annual  Sponsored Swim from Saddle Rock to Portmore Pier  will take place on Sunday next  3rd August at 2pm.This year sponsorship is going towards our two local hospices. The Donegal Hospices and  The Foyle Hospices. Participants needs to be over 18 to take part. Contact Colm on 087 9623692 or Emmet on 086 3524434.

Urblereagh N.S. will celebrate 150 years with Mass and celebrations on August 13th. The reunion is open to any who attended the school. The celebrations will begin in the school from 2-5pm. There will be old roll books and photographs on show.

At 7pm there will be Mass for past pupils and teachers at St. Mary's Church, Lagg. To finish off the celebrations a dinner dance will be held in the Malin Hotel beginning at 8.30pm. Tickets are 25euro and entertainment will be provided by Shunie and Hugh P. Inishowen Development Partnership is currently taking names from women interested in doing the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) training programme. The free course will commence in September 2008 and is suitable for any woman who wants to develop her skills and knowledge of computers. The course will run for 32 weeks and will involve a commitment of one day a week for two hours. Each programme will have a minimum of 13 participants and will be held in a number of locations in the peninsula, subject to demand. This course is completely free and due to the limited number of places available, selection for participation on this course will be by application form only. Night at the Races: On Sunday 9th August at 9pm in The Seaview Tavern, Malin Head. Winner of each race will receive 50euro. Horses can be purchased for 10euro from any committee member. Proceeds in aid Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Charity shop opened in the premises next door to the Chineese restaurant Bridge St. Carndonagh. Proceeds in aid of Nigerian Priest Fr. Paul Gokok. Fr. Paul will be visiting Carndonagh this Summer.
