Playgroup assistant needed

Malin Community Employment Project Ltd (Fas scheme) has a vacancy for a Playgroup Assistant in the Kiddies Corner Playgroup which is based in Malin Town.

Carndonagh Christmas tree : The Lighting of the tree will
take place on Sunday next, 2nd December with Santa arriving at 6pm. The Folk Group will be there carol singing from 5.30pm.
Christmas bazaar: There will be a Christmas Bazaar in Bocan Hall, Culdaff, on Sunday next ,2nd December from 2pm – 6pm. All kinds of items and home-baking will be on offer. Face painting. Sideshows ect. Admission Free.
Carndonagh Community School Bingo: The Christmas Bingo will take place on Sunday, 9th December at 3pm. Usual side prizes on every line. Admission 10euro. All welcome.
Donegal County Council has received funding to extend a pilot project for the installation of smoke alarms in vulnerable households nationwide. The Council has identified three target groups, i.e. older persons, persons with disability and lone parents. If you fall into any of the above categories and do not have a smoke alarm in your home, please contact Action Inishowen on 074 9374529 or call into your office in Millbrae, Carndonagh.
Dancing Classes: Modern and Old Time Dancing Classes continue in the Malin Hotel every Tuesday night at 8.30pm. Beginners welcome.
Bookings for Glengad Community Centre: Any persons wishing to use Glengad Community Centre for meetings or functions should contact John Mc Daid, Tel: 9379531 or Frances Kelly, Tel: 9379038 to arrange to collect keys.
The Inishowen Gospel Choir is setting up an under 18s youth choir course for 10 weeks. The course will be held in the Inishowen Carnival premises behind Jay Bee's Factory Shop on Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm. The fee is 75euro for ten weeks or 8.50 per week. Parents and Toddlers can now meet up at Playdays Playgroup in Middletown, every Wednesday from 10am to 12 noon. Why not come along and meet other like-minded parents.

New Malin GAA-The club would like to thank everyone involved with what was a very successful Night at the Races in McCleans Bar on Saturday night.
The 2007 AGM takes place on Frida, 7th December in the GAA centre beginning at 7-30pm, all members are asked to attend.
Well done to the following who represented Malin GAA Club in the recent Scor na nOg. Solo singing, Anna Quigley; Recitation, Emma McDaid; Instrumental Group, Denise Doherty, Lisa McColgan, Michelle McGonagle and Celine Doherty; Quiz Team, Keiron McColgan, Tony McColgan and Celine Doherty. A special congratulation must go to Emma McDaid and the Instrumental Group who qualified for the County Finals.A Parish League for Under 14s and Under 16s playing for the McGeoghegan Cup takes place every Thursday at 7-00pm under floodlights at the GAA grounds.
There is a Foundation Coaching course on the weekend of 30th November/1st December in Muff. The Friday session, 30th November will be between 7and 10pm while the following days session is between 9am and 4pm. Anyone wishing to take the course should contact Maria McLaughlin 0877793679 as soon as possible.Training for U-8 boys continues on Sundays in the GAA centre from 11am to Midday.
Training for U-8 and U-10 girls takes place on Friday evenings from 6-30 to 7-30 in the GAA Centre.
Indoor football for ladies continues on Thursdays in the GAA centre between 8-30 and 9-30pm, any and all ladies are welcome to attend.
Under Age club members are currently selling tickets for a Christmas Draw with all proceeds going towards Under Age teams in the club. Tickets are 2euro each or a book of six for 10euro, Tickets are available throughout the parish and the club would seek as much support as possible with the draw taking place at the Malin Bingo on Sunday,16th December.
The 2007 Under Age Presentations for boys and girls between U-8 and U-14 takes place in the GAA centre on Sunday, 9th December between 5 and 7pm and all support is welcome, especially from parents of children receiving awards.
There was no winner of this weeks lotto jackpot. The sequence drawn was 1,3,4,5,7,2,6. Hayley McLucas, Malin won the 50euro prize and next weeks jackpot now stands at 1,150euro. As always, the club thanks the local community for its continued support.
Malin have new club gear available in McCleans with Jackets, Hooded Tops, Polo Shirts(choice of two) and Tracksuits for all sizes. Orders should be placed with Enda McClean. Anyone who has placed orders should collect gear from McCleans as soon as possible.
