Film-makers are seeking local people for a new movie set to be shot around Inishowen. It will feature areas in Malin Head, The Isle of Doagh, Leenan and Buncrana. The film makers are looking for people of all ages for a range of roles in the new film
'A Shine of Rainbows'. Open auditions will take place in the Colgan Hall, Carndonagh, on Monday next, 7th April and Tuesday, 8th from 10am to 7pm. If you are women aged 20-70 women, men from 40-70 and children aged from 7 to 12, get yourself along to the Colgan Hall on Monday or Tuesday.
A trip for a week-end break to Scotland is being organized to visit the Highland shows and a day trip to Edinburgh City. It will take place from 20-22nd June. The grand opening of the GAA Centre in Malin Town has been set for Sunday, 4th May, the Bank holiday week-end. An Inishowen Select side will play the Donegal senior team in honour of the occasion.

Donegal County Council has received funding to extend a pilot project for the installation of smoke alarms in vulnerable households nationwide. The Council has identified three target groups, i.e. older persons, persons with disability and lone parents. The Annual Diocesan Mass for those with special needs and their families and friends will take place in St. Joseph's Gallagh, Derry on Saturday 12th April. Bishop Lagan will celebrate the Mass. Malin GAA :The senior and reserve sides had no competitive fixture this weekend so they played challenge games against Urney from Co Tyrone. The reserves came out on top in their game while the senior side were beaten, the results matter little as the object of the exercise for both clubs was to get up to speed for their respective league campaigns.
This weekend Malin is back in competitive action with a home fixture against Fanad Gaels where the senior side will be striving to claim their first points of the season while the reserves will be hoping to make it two wins out of two so far. The games are set for Saturday evening, April 5th, reserve game at 4-30pm with the senior game at 6pm, all support welcome.
Fixtures; The U-16 side were beaten at home on Sunday by Fanad Gaels. In a high scoring game the visitors secured victory with a late free to win by 1-19 to 4-09.
The Ladies begin their season with an away trip to St Naul's on Sunday, April 13th, game starts at 12 noon. Club membership for 2008 is now due and will be collected in the coming weeks. Membership is 10euro per adult, 2euro per minor and 20euro for family membership and club members will have priority for tickets for Donegal games should they be successful in
the summer. Kevin Farren will collect Malin Head, David Gallagher and Patrick Collins will do the Culdaff area, Patrick and Shaun Houton will do Culkeeny/Glengad and Martin McColgan will cover Malin Town while Shaun Owen will collect players membership.The official opening of the GAA centre has been set for Sunday, 4th May (May Bank Holiday weekend), where an Inishowen select side will meet the Donegal senior team, more details to follow. There was no winner of this week's lotto jackpot. The sequence drawn was 7,2,3,5,6,1,4. Monica Walsh, Malin,
