Moville Tidy Towns Committee. This year we stand a good chance of a very good score in the Annual Tidy Towns Competition as many of the properties / areas where we lost points in the past have now been rectified. We are currently appealing to all householders and businesses to improve the appearance of their properties by taking the following actions, Maintain exterior paintwork; Put up hanging baskets and window boxes; Clear litter from front and rear of their property.

It makes good business sense, a tidy town encourages visitors thereby increasing profits and improving job prospects. We would also appreciate financial contributions from within the local community towards the purchase of chippings, plants, shrubs, compost, paint etc. The upkeep and maintenance of green areas and flower beds is undertaken by a small group of volunteers within the town and the related expenses are ever increasing. Any contribution whatever the amount will be most welcome. A box has been left in the Moville Post Office for your donations or cheques made payable to Moville Tidy Town can be sent c/o Serenity House, Montgomery Terrace, Moville. The next town clean will be held on Saturday 14th July 2007 starting at 10:30 in the car park on The Green. Bags and pickers will be available and everyone is invited to come along for as long as they can.
