The ICA had their final meeting of the season on Wednesday 11th June. Vice president Anna Connolly welcomed the members.
Secretary Christine McLaughlin gave a report on the Federation meeting which took place in Raphoe and Treasurer Marian Burns gave an account of funds raised by the sponsored walk for cancer related purposes. Many thanks to Joy McCormick for refreshm
ents provided at the end of the walk. Anna Connolly reported on the national AGM which she attended in Mullingar on 21st May over 600 members were present. She also spoke about the local guild's outing to Belfast including Stormont Buildings which proved very interesting and enjoyable, especially as it was the day that Peter Robinson took over as First Minister from Mr Paisley. Bridget McGuinness spoke of the progress of plans for the forthcoming visit by some of the members to Vienna in November. Linda McLaughlin was presented with a cup for the highest number of points for competition entries. The lucky raffle winners were Nino McGuinness, Francis McGuinness and Linda McLaughlin. Competition winner was Roisin Chalon Wilson. Marion McDonald was presented with a gift from the Federation for her contribution to the "Guild of the Year" competition. The season ended with a very tasty supper provided by Linda McLaughlin and Leona Hutchinson. Happy holidays to all our members. We will resume on the 10th September. Moville Celtic FC numbers draw. Winning numbers 9, 17, 19 and 24. No jackpot winner. 20 euro draw winners, Majella Doherty, c/o Rosato's; Mark McCauley, c/o Donal; Amy McCauley. Next week's jackpot 1,130 euro. Draw will take place in the Trawlerman's on Sunday 22nd June 08.
A dance in aid of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research Unit will be held in the Malin Hotel on Saturday 21st June. Music by Sharon and Gary Nixon followed by a disco with TJ and the DJ. Spirituality course, a one year practical theology course "Points of Intersection" will be held in Thornhill Centre each Monday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm beginning 6th October. For more details contact 04871351233.
Moville GAA underage have two teams currently participating in the Inishowen Mini League for under 10's. So far we have played Carndonagh and Buncrana with all children involved participating fully, giving great effort and enjoying the experience. Next Saturday 21st June we have been invited to compete in an inter county blitz tournament at Owenbeg centre of excellence near Dungiven, Derry. There will be teams from Donegal, Derry and Tyrone competing and it should be a great experience for our under 10's. Bus leaves Greencastle at 9am, Moville at 9.15am. Please give camp forms to Heather by June 21st.

Staff and customers of the New Park House Hotel - a Dinner Dance will be held in Caiseal Mara Hotel, music by the Cavanagh Brothers.   Tickets now available for sale, priced 35.00 euro - Contact Christine on 9282384 (after 7 pm) or Suzanne on 9382743 (after 7pm).   Date has been changed to Saturday 21 June 2008.   Tickets to be purchased before 16 June to confirm numbers. 
The Moville Tidy Town committee have called on all residents in the Moville and surrounding areas to get involved in this year's National Summer Clean which will take place on Saturday 7 June; 21 June; 5 July; 19 July; Saturday 2 August; 16 August and 30 August. Once again the clean up kits will contain colour coded bags, gloves, pickers and skips will be provided. All volunteers of all ages are welcome, residents and visitors, meeting up in the car park at the Green at 10.30am. Clean-ups will be held every two weeks throughout the summer.
