Moville ICA international night

The international night of the ICA took place on Wednesday 14th November. Hostesses for the evening were Margaret Farren and Sheila Meehan who provided lots of mouth watering goodies.
A selection of Chinese food from the local Chinese Takeaway proved very successful. Roisin Chalom Wilson gave an excellent report on the council meeting which was held in the Gateway Hotel, Buncrana on 10th October. That was followed by a report by A
nna Connolly on an ICA conference which was held in the Kilmore Hotel, Co. Cavan and attended by over 250 members including a number of our local guild members. President Marion Boon let a very interesting discussion on ways to improve and enhance the way forward for the ICA association. Lucky winners were Sheila Meehan for competition for the prettiest cup and saucer and Rose McGeehan winner of the raffle. Federation meeting takes place on 24th November in St Johnson. Next local meeting will be held on 12th December, member
s are invited to bring along a Christmas gift for the local Day Care Centre.
Moville Celtic FC numbers draw. Winning numbers 3, 4, 11 and 24. No jackpot winner. 20 euro draw winners, M. Kellett, Greencastle; Altan McDermott, Carndonagh; Tony McGeady, Moville. Next weeks jackpot is 2,215 euro. Draw will take place in the Waterfront on Sunday 25th November.
Congratulations to Jennifer McElhinney, a member of Moville Youth Club. Jennifer won the Donegal Youth Service Christmas Card competition in the 13+ age category. Jennifer's card then went on to win the 12 to 15 years section in the Nollaig competition and all Ireland competition run by Youth Work Ireland.

The Cancer Support group will meet in Serenity House, Moville on Monday 26th November at 7.30pm all are welcome.
The Inishowen Women's Outreach will meet with Moville Women's group on Tuesday 27th November in St Eugene's Hall at 11am to mark 16 days against violence against women. All are welcome.
The Christmas Party for Senior Citizens in the Moville Parish will be held in the Foyle Hotel on Sunday 9th December at 5.30pm All Senior Citizens from the Moville parish are all very welcome.
"On Land and Sea", images of Greencastle and Moville from the pen of renowned maritime artist John Baird. There will be an art exhibition and sale at the Inishowen Maritime museum, Greencastle on Friday 30th November 07 at 8pm. Everyone welcome, refreshments will be provided. A support group for relatives of people suffering from depression meets on first Monday of every month in "Create a Link" art studio, Letterkenny. Sufferers meet every Tuesday at 8pm. Phone 0749735030 for a free information pack.

The Serenity House Active Retirement Christmas Party takes places in Serenity House on Wednesday 21st November at 7.30pm. Music by Dominic McDaid.
Moville and District Mental Health Association will be holding their Christmas Social in Foody's Lodge, Quigley's Point on Sunday 2nd December from 3pm to 7pm. Afternoon tea will be served Raffle and Spot prizes galore. Admission 5 euro.

Northwest Bus ways, Sunday Service, as from Sunday 25th November to Sunday 23rd December a bus service will operate to Derry departing at the following times. Culdaff 12.25pm; Malin 12.30pm; Carndonagh 12.40pm; Quigley's Point 1pm, arriving in Derry at 1.25pm. Greencastle 12.30pm; Jack's Shop 12.32pm; Moville 12.40pm and Quigley's Point 1pm arriving in Derry at 1.25pm. Both buses leaving Derry at 5.10pm.
Do you want to see Greencastle Village shine this Christmas? The Greencastle Christmas tree committee urgently needs new members and volunteers to help with raising funds and erecting the tree and lights. As our expenses (such as insurance, new lighting, equipment etc) are rising each year we hope that people will be generous in their donations. The next meeting of the Greencastle Christmas Tree committee will be held on Thursday 8.30pm in the Fishery College, Greencastle.
