On Sunday 29th July it is rocket day at Greencastle Museum.
A extravaganza of rockets is promised and the star of the show will be the BFM rocket. Launches start from approximately 3pm, weather permitting. Not to be missed and it's free. The Greencastle Maritime Museum Tea Room/Art Gallery is now open to the
public. You can enjoy a wide range of teas, coffee, scones, cakes and more while overlooking the Foyle and Harbour. It's a great place to view the boats and just relax.
On Friday 27th July, Greencastle FC are holding a monster quiz in the Sean Ti lounge. Lots of prizes, spot question prizes, raffle and sandwiches provided. The question master has promised easy questions (mostly). Tables of four, no mobile phones. Commences at 9.30pm sharp, come along and support your local football club.
The Inishowen Methodist Churches are holding their annual Regatta Afternoon Tea and Cake sale at the Moville Hall on Monday 6th August from 3pm to 6pm. The usual cakes/plants will be available.
A charity dance in aid of Inishowen cancer support group will be held in the Malin Hotel on Friday August 3rd. Come along and support this very worthy cause.

Saturday 4th August, 12 noon, Dinghy Race for the Trawlerman's Cup followed by Dinghy Race for the John Kirkland Cup; 2pm Canoe Testers; 3pm, Foyle Punt Race for the Barracuda Cup followed by the Punt Race for the North East Inishowen Cup. Sunday 5th August, 1pm, Traditional Dronthein Race for the Regatta Cup followed by the Dronthein Race for the Paddy Keaveney Cup; 2pm, Foyle Punt Association Rowing Races, Men's, Ladies, Mixed and Novelty Races; 2pm, Canoe Polo Games; 2.30pm, Cruiser Race for Denis Rawdon's Cup; 4pm, Raft Race. Monday 6th August, 2pm, Foyle Punt Race for George Kelly Cup followed by Punt Race for the Jackie White Cup and lastly Punt Race for the Joseph Doherty Cup; 2pm, Canoe Racing; 2pm, Rowing Races for children 10-12 years, 12-14 years, 14 – 16 years and Relay and Novelty Races; 2pm Swimming Races at the Stone Pier. Close of the Regatta will be a Rocket Launch at the Pier. Presentation of all prizes at the buffet in the Barracuda.
Bar at 7pm approx. Boat trips from the Pier on Monday 6th August at 1pm.
Serenity House will be holding their annual Art and Craft Exhibition in Serenity House, Moville on the Sunday 5th and Monday 6th August from 12pm to 5pm. Admission is free. Why not come along and see what you also could achieve under the tuition of your expert tutors.
Anyone going on the Serenity House Active Retirement Association trip to Killarney on the 14th October 07 must have their deposits paid to Serenity House by the end of July.
