Senior citizens from Muff, Culmore and surrounding areas were treated to a very enjoyable Christmas party on Thursday last.
This party, as in other years was organised by the Muff Branch of St. Vincent de Paul in St. Mary's Community Hall. In attendance were Fr. John Farren, Rev. Alister Rosborough, Fr. Colm Morris and Fr. Eddie McColgan. Singers on the night were Edward
English, Bob Lyndsay, Lizzie McNally, Phyllis Rutherford, Mary Hegarty, Rosaleen McKinney, Nellie McCallion and Harry Reddin. The music was by Gerald Barron, Arthur Campbell, Damien McColgan, Albert Gibson, John McGoogan and Neil McLaughlin. Compere for the evening was Joe O'Donnell. Supper was provided by the lady members of the society.
Winners in this week's parish draw were Patrick McColgan, Keady, 300 euro, Angela McLaughlin, Drughaggart, 200 euro and Niamh and Conal Reddin, Drumacrossan, 100 euro.
The members of the Muff Branch of the Apostolic Workers would like to thank everyone who contributed to their Christmas Bazaar in St. Mary's Community Hall recently. The amount raised was 3,820 euro and £100 stg. All money will go to the Missions.

A parish carol service will be held in the Sacred Heart Church on Sunday at 6 p.m. Children are invited to bring along a toy and adults some foodstuffs. These will be distributed by St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Scoil Mhuire Buncrana Parents' Association would like to thank all who contributed to their recent churchgate collection. It raised 237.60 euro and £19.58.
The 'Slave for a Day' auction had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Anne Marie McNally, organiser, would like it to be known that the auction will now take place in the new year. A raffle did take place amounting to 570 euro which will go to Volunteer Africa fund.
Winning numbers in this week's GAA lotto were 3, 5, 7, 2, 4, 1, 6. There was no jackpot winner. Mary McLaughlin, 8, Foyle View wins 100 euro. Next week's jackpot now stands at 5,200 euro. The Christmas draw will be held on Sunday, 23rd and New Year's draw will be held on Sunday, 30th December.
