Auction raises 32,041

The organisers of the annual auction held in St. Mary's Community Hall last Sunday were delighted at the response in the auction.
The hall was packed to capacity and those in attendance were not disappointed as plenty of good bargains were to be had. The organisers would like to thank all those who donated items for the auction, those who gave donations and the hard working no
n committee members who gave of their time willingly on Saturday and Sunday. A special word of thanks to the ladies who provided the tea and homemade scones which were greatly appreciated. The amount raised on the day was 2,041 euro which will go towards the renovation fund for the hall.
Winners in this week's Parish draw were The Grant Family, Dundrain, 300 euro, Ellen McReynolds, Grove Cottages, 200 euro and Bernie Ward, Grove Cottages, 100 euro.
Bingo as usual on Saturday night in St. Mary's Community Hall at 9.15 p.m. All support appreciated.
The Parents' Committee of St. Nicholas Pre-school for children with special needs thank all who supported their church gate collection and Christmas Day swim.
The Lenten Station for Wednesday, 27th will be held in the home of Seamus and Patricia McColgan, Drumneil and on Friday 29th April in the home of Angela McConnellogue, Aught.
A reminder to parents who wish to enrol their child in Scoil Naomh Brid in September to please contact the school for an application form this week.
Fun Football will re-commence tomorrow. All children welcome. A coaching course will also take place tomorrow. All parents and friends welcome. Please contact a committee member if interested.
Numbers drawn in the QPS lotto - 2, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13 - no jackpot winner. G-Man, David Doherty and Alice Porter matched 4 numbers and shared 60 euro.

Congratulations to the u-16 girls who helped Crana College achieve success with their school. Well done.

Boys u-16 training will begin on Tuesdays 7.30 - 8.30 p.m. Contact Paul Hegarty and Joe Johnston for more information.
This week has turned out to be a very eventful one for the club. They have been awarded the 'Club Ground of the Year' award for 2007. This is in recognition of all the hard work carried out by club members and the club can now boast modern changing rooms, meeting area, two full size pitches and a floodlit all-weather pitch. After many months the lotto jackpot has been won. The 5,650 euro winning prize went to Tony Hargan, c/o Rock. Congratulations Tony and the winning numbers were 1, 6, 7, 4, 2, 3, 5.
Senior training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.15 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m. Ladies training continues on Wednesdays and Saturdays. U-16 boys training will commence on Tuesday, 26th at 6 p.m.
The club will be running a quiz in T he Carmens on Friday, 29th in aid of the defibrillator fund.
Congratulations to Eileen McLaughlin who won the GAA award at the 2007 Sports People Awards.
