On Monday week last two men were arrested by the Gardai in Muff for causing criminal damage to 9 windows in the village. On searching the car they found sling shots and a quantity of marbles.
This damage was caused over a two week period. One of the accused was in his twenties and the other was in his thirties, both were from Limavady. They were taken to Burnfoot Garda sataion and then brought before the court in Letterkenny where Judge Z
aidain gave them a 12 months suspended sentence and a fine of 5,500 euro and damages to the value of 3,200 euro. The Gardai have to be congratulated for their swift action in catching these criminals.
Two farmers in the Gortin area of Muff were traumatised when they discovered that their sheep had been attacked by a dog or dogs killing 2 ewes and 2 lambs.
