Local man marries in Cavan

The recent wedding took place at St. Aidan's Church, Butlersbridge, Co. Cavan of Martin McLaughlin son of Seamus and Ann McLaughlin, Ardmore, Muff and Brenda Leahy, daughter of Brendan and Patsy Leahy, Dublin.
The bridesmaids were Tara Byrne, Megan Clery and Sinead Leahy. The bestman was Seamus McLaughlin (Jnr), and the groomsmen were Declan McGill and Sean Leahy. The celebrant at the Mass was Fr. T. Manion and the soloist was Mairead Whelan. The reception
was held in the Slieve Russel Hotel, Co. Cavan and the happy couple spent their honeymoon in Cyprus.

The winners in this week's Parish Draw were Clodagh McLaughlin, Glackmore 300 euro; Declan Doherty, Sampagh, 200 euro and John Curran, Muff 100 euro.

Dates to put on your Calendar for July and August, Sunday 27th July at 3 p.m. in Drung, Sunday, 10th August at 3 p.m. in Muff and 5 p.m. in Iskaheen.

Closing date for enrolments in Junior infants in Scoil Naomh Brid is April 15th. Applications forms available in the school.
The Irish Kidney Association will be having their Church Gate collection next weekend i.e. Saturday 19th and Sunday, 20th April.

Please give generously to this very worthy cause.

The monthly meeting of the ICA will take place next Tuesday, 22nd April at 8 p.m. All members are asked to attend this meeting as there is very important business to discuss.

Community Bingo as usual on Saturday night in St. Mary's Community Hall at 9.15 p.m. Your continued support is appreciated.

Just a warning to people who dump their household waste indiscriminately at the bottle banks in St. Mary's Hall car park - the CCT cameras have now been installed. If you fit into this category you will have to take stock and dispose of your waste through the proper channels, as the penalty for this is extremely high.

An old Thyme and Ceili dance will be held in the GAA Centre on Sunday, 20th April , from 9 p.m.-11.30 p.m. Admission including supper is 5 euro.

A mission will be held in the Parish this year from Sunday, 25th May until Saturday 31st May. Further details at a later date.

Naomh Padraig GAA -The numbers drawn in the weekly lotto won 2:1:5:7:6:3 and 4. there was no jackpot winner however six runner up prizes of 17 euro went to: Mary Toye, Cross, Quigleys Point; Roy Robb, C/o Squealing Pig; Shaun Gallagher, Muff; Colette Barrett, Sumerhill, Muff; Paul Harkin, 59 Whitehill; Sinead Lynch.

Next week's jackpot will be 700 euro. Last week was a mixed one on the Pitch. The seniors lost to Urris in the semi-final of the Inishowen Senior competition, however, bounced back to beat Convoy in the League at the weekend. Unfortunately the reserves lost out to Convoy on the same night. At underage level the u12's comfortably defeated Urris while the u16's drew with the same opposition. This weekend both the Seniors and reserves are away to Red Hughs.
