Pobal has invited the Inishowen Development Partnership to submit a business plan for the rural Transport Programme in Inishowen. The RTP is a national programme that supports the provision of Public/Community Transport in rural areas to address gaps in access and meet rural needs. The Inishowen Development Partnership is now consulting with the community throughout Inishowen in order to ascertain the needs in the peninsula, to draw up an effective plan to address those gaps in transport that impact most on the community. Three consultation meetings have been arranged one in the north, south and east Inishowen. We would be delighted if members of all groups could attend one of the meetings listed below.
The three consultations arranged are as follows: Monday, 12th at 7.30 p.m. Tullyarvan Mill, Buncrana. Tuesday, May 13th at 7.30 p.m., Bocan Hall, Culdaff. Wednesday, May 14th at 7.30 p.m. Quigley's Point, Community Centre, Quigley's Point.
Your participation in the consultation process is vital to the effectiveness of the resulting business plan. We would, therefore, encourage you to come along and to spread the word among the community. These meetings are open to all members of the community. We look forward to seeing you and hearing your views.
