Mickey McGuinness, one of Derry’s best loved historians, musicians and footballers, passed away more than a year ago in the Foyle Hospice surrounded by his loving family and friends.

To celebrate his long life and many achievements, and the pleasure and joy he brought to the lives of others, a memorial concert will take place in the Maldron Hotel (formerly Tower Hotel) in Derry tomorrow night (Saturday, May 9), commencing at 7.30pm.

A host of musicians, singers and dancers from Derry and Donegal will make this a night to remember.

Everyone who knew or worked with Mickey is welcome to come along and enjoy what promises to be a great night of music and song.

Tickets for the concert are £10 and are available from the Grand Central Bar, the Maldron Hotel, and Maeve McGuinness (07902031105).

There will be a draw on the night for a short trip to Milan and a stay in one of its finest 5 star hotels.
