The Advent Prayer Room in Moville opens today, Friday 11 December at 2pm, offering people a place to sit, pray and be refreshed in the midstof the busy countdown to Christmas.
Hosted by the Inishowen Methodist Churches, this is the third year that the prayer room has been open. Previously held in the local Methodist Hall, it has switched venues for 2015 to be easily available to the wider community. For 2015 it will be held in a shop premises next to the Post Office on the Malin Road.
Local Minister, Rev. Alison Gallagher, said: ‘The Prayer Room is open to everyone, young and old alike. One visitor from a previous year commented: “what a beautiful space you have created! We were both very touched by the experience”. Our hope is that, in this busy time of shopping and parties, we can offer people a space to connect with the spiritual meaning of Christmas and remember that Christmas began with the birth of Christ.’
The Prayer Room will be open as follows: today from 2-6pm and Saturday 12th December from 2-6pm.
