Animated film Kubo and the Two Strings wins at Bafta Awards

Animated movie Kubo and the Two Strings which features the voice of a Donegal schoolboy has won a Bafta award.

The film picked up the gong for Best Animated Film last night at the 70th Annual Bafta awards.

Art Parkinson, a 15-year-old pupil at Coláiste Chineál Eoghain in Buncrana, voices the lead role.

He was pictured at the glittering ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The film is also nominated for two Oscars - including Best Animated Movie. The Academy Awards take place at the end of the month.
